I LOVE SPRING! It's by far my favorite season because that means I get to say goodbye to my least favorite season, WINTER. This weekend we enjoyed several walks outside with Zorro and Jeremiah in the 65 degree heat. I noticed green grass starting to shoot through the dead stuff and my furnace rarely turns on anymore. These are all great signs of summer right around the corner.
Things as new parents have started to set into a routine for us. I am able to continue in the Eagle Lake office 4 hours each day. I bring Jeremiah with me and he sleeps for the most part. He's starting to become more awake and alert so it's fun to "play" with him during his awake time too. The weekends have become my favorite times (even more than before) because we can just be a little family without having to worry about any foster care obligations like visits with Jeremiah's birth mom, or anyone coming to our home to check up on things.
Shaun is keeping very busy with many days spent up at camp working on the staff housing project. Things are progressing well and we just continue to pray that we will be able to move in up there in May. He also has a couple more summer staff positions to fill so when he's in the office he's spending his time interviewing, working on permitting for the forest service, and finalizing all the plans for the summer. May 20th is when our summer staff arrive and they'll be here before we know it. We're definitely getting excited for another summer of camp.
